I'm using Reaper on Arch Linux and it really works smooth using JACK. It depends on the music you want to create. Reaper and Ardour are better for recording but worse for electronic music. It depends on the workflow. FL Studio usually has much better workflow and UI Design for creating music 'in the box'. Installer download for FL Studio 32bit / 64bit for MacOS / Windows. For full & trial installation. No registration is needed.
